The GDRD is an independent California special district approved by voters in 1988. Our goals are to develop a community park in each established community as well as a regional park complex. The GDRD is a rural area of El Dorado County. The "Divide," as it's commonly called, is a landmass dividing the north and south forks of the American River in the California Sierra foothills. It covers 412 square miles and has a population of approximately 13,400.
NEW: Starting in January, 2012, regular meetings of the GDRD Board of Directors will be the 4th Monday of every month (except for the Holiday Schedule in November & December when they will meet the 2nd Monday). The next regularly scheduled Board meeting is January 23, 2012.
The Board meetings will be at 7:00 pm in the Greenwood Community Center unless otherwise noted. Special meetings will be scheduled as necessary.
